In the fall of 2015 Syracuse City formed the “Emergency Preparedness Committee”. This committee, made up of select citizens has been charged with the task of coming up with ways to make our city more prepared in the event of any type of disaster. Their duties are listed on the city’s website.
One of the areas that we most strongly about is the need for personal education and training around the subject of emergency preparedness generally and the different categories of preparation specifically. To that end, this website has been created to serve as a resource to the citizens of Syracuse. It is the official home of our entire collection of resources. In addition to curating over 100 videos on our YouTube channel, the site also contains official guides published by the committee and a calendar of training events to help our citizens be prepared.
If you would like to give us any feedback on the site, we’d love to hear from you on our contact page.
